Aftershokz Trekz Titanium Bone Conduction Headphones Review

Two years ago I discovered my affinity for podcasts. On a lengthy road trip, Abigail and I cranked through the first season of Serial around Thanksgiving. On our recent move to Chattanooga, I discovered another audio drama (We’re Alive – a zombie apocalypse survival story with huge production value that I highly recommend if you are into that) that engrossed me and left me wanting more. I slowly began to listen to less radio and more podcasts on my daily commute to and from work.

Finding my “Team”

At the beginning of every semester the same conversation inevitably occurs between me and my students which always leads to me explaining that I run before school each morning and them asking me why I would do so at such an early time. Usually I just smile and say it’s because I’m a runner and that is what I do, but lately I’ve been starting to think a little deeper about the issue. I realized that although I love to run I have a lot of other motivating factors getting me out the door each morning besides my simple love of the sport and copious amounts of RunGum.

Where’s the Beef Jerky? – Getting More Useful Mileage Out of Your Day

If you ask my wife, one of my go to sayings for the past two or so years has been, “I wish the day was a few hours longer.” I found myself struggling to fit in everything I wanted to do, often having to make the decision of what to cut out or push off to a later date. This “I’ll do it tomorrow” attitude left me in a cycle where I wasn’t getting around to all the things I really wanted to get done in the day. Get up. Run. Go to work. Eat dinner. Sleep. Repeat. All the little things I said I wanted to do never even got started. That is, until I made one small yet powerful change in my routine.

Excuses Aren’t Excusese

Recently, I found myself on an evening drive home having an internal conversation about whether or not I should go for a run. I usually get my runs in in the morning, but every so often I hit the snooze and tell myself, I’ll run after I get home from work. More often than I’d like to admit, the afternoon has rolled around and I found myself making an excuse as to why I could not go for a run as planned, ultimately resulting in a skipped workout. I don’t like to admit to this type of behavior, but I’m human and inherently not perfect. This drive home in particular, I hit the brakes (figuratively) on this type of thinking and discovered that my list of excuses wasn’t all that great to begin with.

2Toms Sport Shield Roll On Review

[NOTE: As of February 2017, I have been selected to be a brand ambassador for Medi-Dyne, the parent company of the 2Toms brand. This article was written in January 2017 and reflects my honest opinion and thoughts of the 2Toms Sport Shield product and Medi-Dyne as a company. With that said, as an ambassador I have been given a discount code to share. For 20% off your Medi-Dyne purchase, use code ARM20 at checkout.]

Chafing. Blisters. Hot spots.  They happen to everyone. Nobody likes them and everyone tries to find the best way to prevent them. Finding an effective product that keeps blisters, bloody nipples, and “chub rub” of the thighs at bay while being non-greasy, long-lasting, and convenient is more difficult than it sounds. I’m here to tell you that your search is over. 2Toms, a division of Medi-Dyne, has created quite possibly one of the best anti chafing products products I have ever found.

I am now an Orange Mud Ambassador!

I am happy to announce that I have been selected to be a part of the Orange Mud Ambassador program. I have been a huge fan of this company since I first used their Hydraquiver Vest Pack 2. I am truly excited for this new journey and can’t wait to continue to support this amazing brand. Orange Mud and the other fellow ambassadors have already begun to welcome me as well as the other new members with open arms and inspiring personalities.
